Frozen is heaven and frozen is hell.

I am a dying God, coming into human flesh.

Elured carried a tray of food to his brother, who still stayed at Elrond's side as he faded away. It was mostly to make sure that Elrond actually 'did' die, and wouldn't wake and ruin everything, necessitating them to take over Rivendell with force. That was something neither of them really wanted. Nonetheless, Elurin had not left Elrond's side for a week, and Elured was worried about his brothers own health now. How he wished for this to be over.

As he entered the healers house where Elrond's sickbed was, he heard loud voices in a heated argument, he put down the tray on a side table, and went in the direction from which the voices came. He peaked inside the room and saw Elladan sitting on a chair listlessly, watching as Elrohir was screaming and yelling at the poor team of healers who was trying to figure out how to save Elrond.

”But My Lord, we tried everything, and yet he is hardly breathing,” the healer said trying to back away from Elrohir's anger.

”I don't care, try something else then!” Elrohir yelled, ”If you do not find a cure for what ails my Father, I shall slay every single one of you where you stand.”

Elured placed a silent hand on Elladan's shoulder. Elladan looked up at Elured and smiled, twisting one of his finger rings methodically, over and over. Elured bowed down and whispered, ”Is your brother well?”

Elladan nodded, ”He is just blowing off steam. It will soon pass.”

”I came with some food for Elurin, but I wonder if you would want to join me for a walk a little later?” Elured asked, smiling as he could see the gratitude in the younglings eyes at the prospect of getting out of this madhouse. ”Yes, please,” Elladan whispered.

”I shall be back in a moment then,” Elured said, leaving Elladan on the chair while Elrohir had almost worked himself into a heart attack.

Elured picked up the tray and went to Elrond's sickbed, he stood in the door frame for a moment, watching his brother sitting in a chair sleeping, he looked thin and worn. ”Elurin?” he said softly, which sounded like a roar in the dead silence of the room.

Elurin opened an eye on half, and smiled. ”Brother,” he stated tiredly.

”I brought you food,” Elured said placing the tray on the little table next to Elurin's chair. ”Are you hungry?”

He must have looked worried, as Elurin smiled slightly amused. ”As a wolf,” he admitted. ”Thank you.”

Elured looked over at Elrond who lay pale and grey in his bed. ”How long?” he whispered.

”A day?” Elurin whispered back.

Elured looked over at the closed door to the hall. ”I think the advisor is on to us, we should be extra careful. His room overlooks this, just thought you should know,” he whispered.

”As soon as Elrond is gone, then none of them will know what hit them, my beloved brother, don't be so paranoid. These are simple Elves,” Elurin whispered.

”If you say so,” Elured said softly. ”I will be back tomorrow.”

Elurin nodded, turning to his food. Elured stood again and smiled at his brother before he left the room. It even smelled of sweet death.

Laying in the grass staring up at the skies, Elured felt content just listening to Elladan's breathing. ”I needed this,” Elladan mumbled sleepily. ”Elrohir is driving me mad.” Elladan took a deep breath, picking up a long strand of Elured's hair, twining it around his finger. ”I realise he is just as scared as I am, I just wish he would stop his tantrum and think for a moment, if father dies, then where does that leave us? Me? I never wanted to be the ruler of Rivendell, yet here I am facing the possibility that it might happen.”

”Don't be silly,” Elured lied, ”Your father will be fine.”

”You're a terrible liar,” Elladan sulked. ”But thank you.”

Elured smiled, ”Elladan? If everything you fear should become reality, and you will be announced the new ruler of Rivendell. Will I still be welcome in your bed or would you wish for a wife and heirs?”

Elladan pulled Elured's hair hard, pushing Elured off him only to roll on top of the older Elf. ”I shall force you to be my concubine for all times to come,” Elladan chuckled.

”Oh,” Elured purred. ”I like that thought.”

”I presumed as much,” Elladan grinned, hovering over Elured. ”Would My Lord wish for a description of his future tasks?”

Elured grinned back, snaking his hands under Elladan's tunic, encountering the soft bare flesh underneath. ”Yes please, in case I should get confused,” he whispered hotly.

Just as Elladan was about to answer, a loud bell sounded, and for a moment both Elves just froze in their position, until they realised what it was. ”Valar, no!” Elured groaned.

Elladan's pupils dilated, and he paled to ghostly white. ”Father,” he gasped. And with a quick move rolled off Elured, and sprinted off to the healing house, followed by Elured who was in hot pursuit.

Elurin played the part of the lover left behind perfectly. Actually Elured thought it was a bit unnerving. But he knew what was expected of him, and hence he kept his mask, volunteering to help Erestor plan and carry out the funeral party for their dead Lord.

Galadriel, Arwen and a handful of the Galadhrim arrived at Rivendell to participate in the tragic event.

”Lady Galadriel,” Elured spat, looking out the window at the white lady standing in the courtyard speaking with Glorfindel. ”Why did 'she' have to be here?”

”She is the children's grandmother, Elured, of course she is here,” Elurin shrugged, opening the closet to find some garment that would suit for the nights funeral pyre. ”Are you afraid of her?” he asked casually.

”Of course I am,” Elured hissed, ”I would be an idiot like you, if I weren't.”

Elurin left the window and went over to his brother who frantically searched the closet, and wrapped his arms around his waist, resting his head on Elured's shoulder. ”Don't be afraid, they will never find out anything, if you just play your part too.”

Elured let his head fall back against Elurin with a blissful sigh, ”I am not afraid that anything happens to me, but I am terrified, that something might happen to you. You are all I have in this world.”

”Shh,” Elurin hushed softly, ”Nothing will happen to me, silly. We were born with nothing but each other, and we will leave that way too. Together.”

”Promise?” Elured whispered.

”Promise,” Elurin whispered back.

The pyre was over, and only embers were left of the giant fire there had been hours earlier. Elured was saddened to see Elladan weep like he had, it was obvious that Elrond had been a loved individual, and even if none of the other Elves grief did not phase Elured at all, Elladan's cries tugged in his heartstrings. As he had made a move to go comfort his young lover, Elurin had grabbed his arm and pulled him back, nodding towards the Lady Arwen who was on her way to share her grief with her brother. ”Later,” Elurin had whispered in his brothers ear. ”When he is alone, and not amongst his family, you make your move. This is too obvious.”

Elured turned around and stared at his brother in disbelief, ”I actually just meant to comfort him, those poor children just lost their last parent. Show some compassion.”

Elurin rose a brow, ”He will be weak tonight... ”

”Stop!” Elured growled, pulling his arm from Elurin's grip. Stomping off from the drying embers in the pyre.

Elurin stood for a moment and just watched his twin as he hasted out into the dawn. And then hurried after him, catching him far from the party. ”Elured, keep your focus on your objective, that's all I ask,” he said softly, almost friendly.

”Let the poor Elves grieve their dead loved one,” Elured answered annoyed.

”Remember what Father said?” Elurin whispered. ”I did my part, now you do yours. If you do not to wish to do it this way, I can always contact Mongh and unleash an onslaught, but I cannot promise that your precious children will be safe.”

”I'll do it!” Elured yelled, pushing Elurin away from him. His voice lowered to a sad tone, ”I said I will do it, and I will. It just feels wrong, it does Elurin, it feels wrong, and I feel so terribly guilty for all this sorrow.”

Elurin looked at his brother with a heartbroken expression, ”You let them in your heart, you got attached to them, and that was wrong of you, you knew why we were here, you knew this day would come.” He said burning his twin in a embrace, ”I am sorry that you feel that way, I wish I could help you not to feel sad. But think of what we will have when all this is over, we will have our own kingdom, I will even let you keep Elladan.”

Elured looked tormented, ”I think he might be better off dead. I am a poor substitute for his family.”

Elurin smiled against Elured's chin, ”You give your natural talents too little credit, between the two of us, we can keep him in an eternal state of rut. That cannot be a bad substitute for anything.”

”You are wicked,” Elured whispered, but couldn't help but to smile.

”You have to trust in Father, and that he knows what to do, we are but pawns in his game, but that does not mean that we cannot make it a little pleasurable for ourselves,” Elurin said, kissing his brothers neck from the base of his neck to his collarbone.

Elured stretched his neck, encouraging more tender attention. ”He said it would be like this, did he not?”

”He did,” Elurin mumbled, cupping Elured's groin through the fabric. ”When you are in doubt, just recall all the times he saved us. All the times he sung for us, the times he brought us presents. And remember the love you have for him, and for me.”

”Please Elurin, do not touch me like that, while you talk of Father,” Elured moaned softly.

Elurin removed his hand from Elured's groin, but Elured grabbed his wrist and rubbed Elurin's hand against his hard erection under his robe. ”Keep touching,” he purred, ”But I only want to hear you speaking of how much you long for me.”

Elurin answered with a soft bite to Elured's ear. ”Imagine your little prince between the two of us” Elurin whispered hoarsely, ”His mouth busy wrapped around you, and me buried deep within him, his moans vibrating around your need.”

”Y-Yes,” Elured moaned, lifting his robe, gasping as Elurin's hand wrapped around his throbbing erection. He could feel Elurin's hand moving against his back, as he pleasured himself as well.

”I would watch you, touching myself, slowly not to finish before you. You would ride the little colt, ride him deep, slow. Drive him insane, begging for you to let him finish, but you would watch me, as my own fingers would stretch me for you,” Elurin purred.

Elured moaned helplessly, thrusting up against Elurin's fist. ”Such wick-wicked words, bro-brother.”

”I want you. Now,” Elurin moaned. Letting go of both him and his brother, to pull Elured's robe up over his hips, gently pushing him forward, as he used the other hand to spread Elured wide, inviting.

Elured was only kept on his feet by Elurin's iron grip on his hips, and as his brother rushed them both closer to climax, the fantasies that Elurin had spawned in Elured's mind, was given unspeakable fodder, until the scene in his head became impossibly hot. And while his mind created wild, secret scenarios, his brother filled him out, pounding against him, causing Elured's world come crashing down in a hot white orgasm.

Elurin collapsed on the grass with his brother, ”You need to lean how to be silent, Brother.” He giggled, ”I don't think screaming out your passion is really proper funeral etiquette.”

Elured blushed, as he tried to catch his breath. He turned his head and looked all serious at Elurin, ”I want that, I want that fantasy.”

”And I will give it to you, any means necessary, anything for you my love.” Elurin said, kissing Elured's nose. ”And I have to admit that he is a fit young thing.”

”Oh, don't I know it,” Elured snickered. ”Agile like nothing else.”

”Really?” Elurin purred.

”Really,” Elured smirked.
